Winter Mixed Foursomes League
During the winter there is a mixed foursomes competition. In previous years there have been 4 leagues participating in this event which is usually completed by April/May.
Social Events
During the season the ladies have an exchange outing in August. This year there are approximately 20 ladies exchanging with the Ladies Section of Lenzie Golf club on 5th August.
In April the ladies have a weekend away. This year 13 ladies stayed at Drumoig on a weekend break, playing Thornton on the Friday, Drumoig on Saturday and St Michaels on the Sunday. The main competition on the Saturday was a stableford won by Dorothy Donnelly. A good time was had by all and ideas are being put forward for 2009.
During the winter there is a monthly social event running from October to March when some fun activities and fundraising are organised. A group of ladies also meet regularly on a Monday morning either to play, weather permitting, or just to socialise.
In October the ladies have an end of season dinner, followed by the prizegiving. The AGM is usually the following week. In November we try to have something different from the following year; in December we have a Christmas meal; January is usually a games night, February we have a quiz night which is open to the men and in March we have our pre-season dinner.
