Junior Prizegiving 2011 - FULL HOUSE!

20th November 2011 - The extraordinary Junior Section at Falkirk Golf Club proved it's ever growing popularity with an over-subscribed prize-giving event in the clubhouse last night.

Highlights of the evening were the presentation of the Order of Merit trophies to the best Juniors over the summer season, a selection of Junior presenting the highlights of the season to the audience and a special award to Stuart Irving for his extraordinary season.

The biggest cheer of the night was reserved for Junior Convenor Allan Bryson who received a standing ovation from the whole audience and a special presentation voucher, from contributions from parents, from Professional Stewart Craig for his incredible contribution to the development of the Juniors over the last few years. Allan's wife Alison also received a beautiful bouquet of flowers in recognition of her tolerance and understanding!

School & County Honours for Stuart Irving

5th May 2011 - Falkirk Golf Club junior Stuart Irving Has been gaining great recognition both within the club and on the county circuit as his game progresses at a pace. He continued his fine form recently by winning The Forth Valley Schools Golf Association Boy's Championship for 2011. On top of this Stuart has also been chosen to represent Stirlingshire Golf Union in the County Boys Team for a League Match against Renfrewshire. Well done to Staurt and we look forward to following his progress and development this season.


Junior Masters even more exiting than Augusta!

14th April 2011 - The 2011 Falkirk Golf Club Junior Masters reached and exciting concludion yesterday with Andrea Walker lifting the Green Jacket on the Big Corse, Jonno McKendry winning the Blue Tee title and Kathryn Daley winning on the Wee Course. The photos show Junior Captain Alex Walker and past Masters Champion Lewis Fox presenting the prizes. With over 50 Juniors playing in the event over the three days these were hard won titles by all three. A special thanks and congratulations go to Junior Convenor Allan Bryson, looking glum in the photo now all the fun is over,  whose hard work and dedication make this and the many events he organises a great success.

Juniors Party at Winter Prizegiving

20th March 2011 - Once again Falkirk Golf Club Junior Section proves it's strength with a packed clubhouse for the Winter Prizegiving. Top prizewinners on the nights were Stuart Irving who lifted the main Winter Order of Merit title and Laura Bryson who won the Wee Course Winter Order of Merit title. Every player who played during the winter received a medal. The audience and Juniors enjoyed a great supper of soup, stovies, bacon and sausage rolls, a fantastic raffle and another superb disco hosted by DJ Andy Reid.

Juniors Enjoy a Trip to Gullane

23rd February 2011 - Our vibrant Junior Section enjoyed a trip away on Monday to Gullane and had a ball. The course was superb, especially the greens, and the 21 Juniors and 5 adults attending had a great time with the Juniors representing the club in an exemplary fashion resplendent in Falkirk Golf Club tops. A big thank you to Allan Bryson, Davie Spence, Gary Murray, Davie Gowans and Alan Simpson for helping make the day special for the Juniors.

Junior Team beat Glenbervie!

17th February 2011 - It was a fantastic day at Falkirk Golf Club yesterday with the notable  exception of the weather which was awful. Nevertheless our Junior Team beat a strong Glenbervie Team by 6 and a half points to 3 and half.
